Hello fellow networkers and connectors. If you are anything like me you love using LinkedIn. I am not sharing anything that you don't already know however perhaps a few reminders.

This platform is for professional sharing. I appreciate the updates on promotions, acquisitions and hearing about one's speaking engagements as well as viewing your new YouTube channel and listening to your content via the podcast link. Even more so I think it's really important to like/applause and be social here. Although it might initially feel awkward to do so, whomever is sharing might appreciate the affirmation, so give a thumbs up or comment.

Invitations on LinkedIn. I don't know about you, however I get quite a few. I am always happy to connect however a little note about why you are reaching out or how we might be connected goes a long way (former colleagues/ ex-pat living/ groups). Without that simple step I am less inclined to accept. I want to be able to give more and offer you some value in this initial stage of our networking. However gone are the days - if it was really a thing- where gathering cards, or in this case contacts is actually meaningful.
