LinkedIn Drama Alert!
A certain owl-themed social media tool caused a bit of a stir this week with its thunderclap-style FOOH campaign.
This campaign featured some well-known marketers sharing fake-out-of-home visuals of them promoting a new social media consumer report.
A few savvy LinkedIn users like Alice Bull commented on the fact that most of them had broken ASA rules as they hadn’t clearly stated that these were Ads.
It looks like most have edited the posts now and clearly stated these are ads.
Richard Cook also questioned the effectiveness of the campaign in this post .
What do you think? Even more people are talking about the campaign now, surely this is a win for the owl-themed social media tool?
