If LinkedIn was banned how would you market and stay connected?

In my newsletter last week, I mentioned the need to be careful of single channel communications and the current debate about banning TikTok is a perfect example of this.
Tik Tok is one of the biggest social media platforms in the world, so it would make sense for plenty of businesses to be visible there. However if you've put all your eggs in one basket, that basket could empty very quickly.
This can happen with any platform and I discovered it firsthand last year with trusty old LinkedIn.
In October my content and reach dropped over 80% overnight. I wasn't alone here, many others who use this platform had a similar experience.
So here's what I did.
It was a wake up call that ultimately saved my business.
We can all fall back on our business-as-usual processes and operate in safe spaces, but things do change (all the time!) and we need to evolve our thinking to keep up with change before it gives you a whack between the eyes.

1 年Great article Nina Thomas - I think Covid led many people to do business from at home, focusing on hiding behind social media channels and then potentially losing confidence to ring people, visit people and get back to one on one face to face engaging. There's a whole equation to marketing your business and social media it its forms is but one. People are missing the face to face quality and connections and that is gold for building business relationships
