If you're not promoting your business on Linkedin, you're missing many opportunities. It now has over 700 million members listed on the site. At one point, it was just seen as a website for jobs. It has become so much more. Forty per cent of those users are accessing the website every single day. A lot of these people are decision-makers, and this makes it easier to target them. When setting yourself up on Linkedin, it's important to include a photo in your profile. Profiles with photos get significantly more views.


I often get clients saying that they don't see the value of adding content on Linkedin. In the United Kingdom, there are twenty-nine million profiles. There are also thousands of company profile pages. I built up a profile page with over twenty thousand followers for Web Management Consultants. It's a powerful marketing tool to promote your posts to thousands of relevant contacts. I always liked that my competitors didn't take the platform seriously as it gave me a free run on building my contacts. I currently have over twenty-five thousand connections on Linkedin. I have used the site to recruit and promote my products and services. I have achieved tangible business over the years and recruited some excellent staff by utilising the message feature. Sending a message on Linkedin is far more likely to get read than sending an email; this is true for all the messaging apps. If you're not messaging, you're missing an enormous opportunity. It would help if you always made an effort to connect up with at least five to ten new connections every day.


Content creation for your business or job role is significant. Content creation on Linkedin increased by sixty per cent in 2020. It would be best if you let the world know what you're doing. It's good liking and sharing peer content, but it's vitally important that you create your own original content. It's far more likely to get viewed and interacted with. Don't be obsessed with how many likes you're getting—you creating content for your digital footprint.


The pay per click options on Linkedin is also a good way to generate leads and awareness. There are over 200 ways to target whom you want to reach—industry type, job title, location. The more specific you make the advertising campaign, the better the ROI. When adverts are clicked, they are far more likely to buy than if they click an organic link.


Linkedin is the best way to reach senior decision-makers compared to all other forms of digital advertising.
