Are you on the mailing list of Bill Gates ?

Well, in my case I am.

On reading a newsletter by him partly on Factfulness, & then watching the YT video clip, my mind raced. In it, I was raised to write this article.

Bill Gates moving a very ordinary guy to write on #LINKEDIN !!

Yes, when he wrote, 'Why does it matter? It’s hard to pick up on progress if you divide the world into rich countries and poor countries. When those are the only two options, you’re more likely to think anyone who doesn’t have a certain quality of life is “poor.”'

What credentials do I possess ? They are not attractive by any standard of measurement -and nowhere close, to the current trends.

I've got nothing. Nothing in comparison to the perceived value of a paper qualification that mimics the 'ultra-performance of the 'face-painted street performer clad in costume-clothes'.

How did I come here ? How did I become to be on the email list of Bill Gates?

To answer the above, I have to confess I'm not only in his list but on those of Jay Abraham & Srikumar Rao both of whom, I would say has been benevolent enough to count me in too.

I was an alcoholic. I was a person so unhappy with my job. I was doing everything possible to control my consumption, be happy at the job. Nothing worked. Then I found this [first] book I will speak in the next few paragraphs.

I've was trying valiantly to identify with my true value & worth [if I had any] after years & years of been on the pay packet of a corporate job

I'm taking you back to February 2007 when I had clocked-in 31 years at work & super depressed & equally frustrated with the affairs of my life. One year & three month later on a day in 2008, I quit my job with Sri Lankan Airlines.

When I decided to to do some real solid work with my life, I had NO idea how to adapt the close-to-concrete- methods' of information search .

Yet, in a bookshop in another land, I was kind of serenaded by a book, imploring me & then persuading to the point of seduction, to buy it for myself.

That, was the beginning.

That was my answering the 'roll-call'.

The call from the universe.

A call I had NOT heeded to prior. Ever!

The book's name is 'THE ATTRACT FACTOR'. The author is a prolific writer living in the beautiful climes of Austin, Texas. Moreover, I was later informed that this person conducts coaching & mentoring in which the start is described as follows:

'A special guest and myself (and one other participant) will pick you up at your hotel in my brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom and head out for a spectacular dinner and start our Master Mind session'.

Incredible! I thought.

Joe Vitale, is the name of the author. I've read quite few of his books. And, hope some day soon - to speak with him online - one on one. [Though we have not connected at all since I found his book 'THE ATTRACT FACTOR'].
