Results consistently show that Cascade Reading can be a powerful tool for helping all readers, especially ELLs or Emerging Bilingual Learners (non-native English speakers) better comprehend texts. This allows for a more equitable education experience. As we all know, reading comprehension is the key building block of a solid foundation for a good outcome in school and success in life. Opening up opportunities for all marginalized students here in the U.S. is one of the missions of Cascade Reading I'm thrilled to share the most recent published peer-reviewed study which demonstrates the benefits for both ELLs and EL1s when the new Cascade Format is introduced, as an alternative to the centuries-old left-justified block text format.
