Lines of code that will save you a fortune

Lines of code that will save you a fortune

Just picture this. You're signing a real estate purchase agreement. Everything’s great until you find an item in the contract that you don’t agree to, and you instantly lose all your money for buying the house in question. How so? You should’ve read the contract more carefully!?

Smart contracts are analogs of regular ones, but in the blockchain realm. These lines of code are not capable of emotion, and not guided by moral values, they just do whatever their creator writes them for.

Still, being a human can play a critical part. One wrong comma, missed letter, or incorrect number order is all it takes to cause a disaster!

That’s why, do not forget to send your smart contract to be audited when preparing for a project launch. Third party professionals will check the code, find mistakes, and offer solutions. Even if you and your developers have checked everything countless times, there is still a chance of vulnerability.?

Sounds unconvincing? Here is the case of what a smart contact issue can snowball into.

The developers made a logical mistake when developing a #SmartContract, which blocked all the assets of the mint. How did that happen?

Aku’s (the collection’s name) code basically said, “There are 5,495 #NFTs. So you can’t withdraw funds until there are 5,495 transactions”. What if a user minted several NFTs at once? This way, the human factor played Old Harry with the project.

Of course, those who participated in the mint got refunded, everybody else has got a valuable lesson to learn. Before releasing something, you must double-check the code. It’s better to embarrass yourselves, move the release date, and do everything right than get into debts worth millions of dollars. In addition, a certificate that the code has been audited will bring user trust.
