Linear vs. Nonlinear Thinking for Entrepreneurs

The basic difference between linear and nonlinear thinking is that one is confined to only seeing what’s directly in front of you and the other is the ability to see the larger vision.

Linear thinking could be illustrated as: A + B = C

First, let me clarify that I am no math wizard and so barely understand the above linked equations. However, what I do understand is the power of nonlinear thinking to bring forth an entire formula, plan, or vision holistically, all at once, into your mind. What this means, in essence, is that someone who can utilize nonlinear thinking is someone who can tap into the zero-point or unified field for information on command.

The Value of Linear Thinking

There is a very valid, and rational reason for utilizing linear thinking. This comes in the form of mastering a skill or performing a task. This is the intended purpose of linear thinking, which is to get stuff done or develop skills.

For example, if you wanted to learn how to ride a bicycle, you would not utilize nonlinear thinking. You wouldn’t attempt to envision or visualize yourself riding the bike, nor would you meditate on it. What you’d do is get on the bike and start pedaling. Generally, in no time at all, just about any person can learn how to ride a bike in this manner.

Or, if you wanted to learn how to speak a new language, you wouldn’t meditate on it or visualize yourself doing it.? You’d dive in with some lessons, language tapes, and/or immersion in a country that spoke the intended language.

In this way linear thinking has a clear purpose and value when utilized properly.

However, when utilized to attempt to grow your business, overcome blockages, or solve problems in relationships, it falls radically short. This is because these are things that you cannot just ‘come at’ to solve. You must understand what it is that you need to solve, where the blockage is, and how to see the other person’s perspective.

Linear thinking is task oriented and for ‘doing.’ However, when misapplied can lead to disaster. Generally, when this happens, it leads to cyclical thoughts and actions that lead to the same results, over and over again. Einstein referred to this as ‘insanity.’

Nonlinear Thinking

When it comes to big breakthroughs, overcoming blockages, truly understanding your relationships with the people around you, nothing beats nonlinear thinking. This is because nonlinear thinking allows you to expand your neural network past it’s usual firing patterns to be able to glean a much larger picture. This leads to new marketing insights, innovative business strategies, amazing architectural designs, an emotional understanding of other people’s perspectives, and an overall ability to consistently see the larger picture.

If you looked out onto an orchard, linear thinking might see an orange on a tree.

However, if you looked out onto that same orchard, nonlinear thinking would see an entire ecosystem of a self-sustaining, limitless supply of fruit that could feed one hundred families indefinitely.

Linear thinking sees a singular task or a job or result.

Nonlinear thinking sees an entire vision.

Entrepreneurs of the New World

The New World will be built by entrepreneurs who are adept at tapping into the nonlinear realm of thought while also being connected to their heart center. This is simply the way of evolution and cannot be changed, stopped, or swayed in any way.

The entrepreneurs who adopt this form of operating will begin to very quickly thrive due to the constant and consistent ability to innovate in the face of the changing needs of the world. These innovations will, at first, astound the general populace who will have no idea how anyone could have thought of such a thing. Eventually though, it will become common place for amazing, innovative, and disruptive designs to rule the world.

As an example, many people thought, erroneously, that electricity would be the next evolutionary form of energy. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most electrically run cars are powered by coal (18%), nuclear energy (18%), and coal (40%). A battery does not generate energy, it stores it. The energy comes from coal, nuclear energy, and natural gas.

Real innovation will come from quantum energy sources. These will be energy sources that are created from the ability to manipulate nonlocal energy from the zero-point field. It is far beyond my understanding to speak on it further, suffice it to say we have yet to see real innovation on a mass scale when it comes to sustainable energy. We’ve only swapped one set of problems for another with electric cars, all the while still burning coal and natural gas.

Who will be the first to give us new, truly sustainable energy sources?

Quantum Age Entrepreneurs who can tap into the nonlinear form of thought and see the overall picture holistically.

These will be the entrepreneurs of the future.

These will be the new trend setters.

These will be the people who will make history.

Where do I begin?

One quick and easy way is to begin with daily meditation. Just twenty minutes of daily meditation in the morning can start you on a profound path that will change the course of your life, and perhaps the history of the world.

Or you could do breathwork, rapid belly breathing can help you into the nonlinear state of mind.

Some forms of exercise can help you to get into a transcendental state of mind where you can see the larger picture.

To change your mind in this way requires consistent, daily discipline with a routine, tactics, and habits in place to ensure that you will eventually see results. Like everything else in life, consistency equals results.
