There are 17 foreign vessels detained by PSCO in Chinese mainland.

According to the news officially released by the China Maritime Safety Administration, in September 2022, PSCO in Chinese mainland detained 17 foreign vessels, including 10 in Shanghai, 3 in Yantai, 2 in Qingdao, 1 in Xiamen and 1 in Dongjiakou. There are both subjective and objective reasons for the detention of unqualified ships after PSC inspection, but the main reasons are unfamiliarity with the environment, the situation of the port country, convention rules, etc. Therefore, to avoid the detention of vessels, it is necessary to master the key points of PSC inspection in some regions, carry out defect inspection and correction in advance, and pay special attention to the life-saving equipment on vessel, firefighting and ISM.
