Lina and Erik just bought their first home ??
???? SOLD!???? This first time home buying journey was truly unlike any other I've experienced. Early last year, this family received the unfortunate news that their landlord planned to sell their home and gave them notice to move out.
They tried to purchase the home, but the homeowners wanted too much. The market was hot! Even gave it a shot at another property and their offer was rejected (our offer was more than $100K over the asking price too...) The Bay Area real estate market can be rough!!!
Fast forward, after about a year of renting another place that was just starting to feel like home... their new landlord ALSO wanted to sell! What are the odds of that? Not the most exciting news to hear during a global pandemic.
We decided to give it another shot, round 2 and honestly, KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK THIS TIME!!!! WE SECURED THE HOME! ????
I negotiated such a great price, way lower than the average home value in this neighborhood where majority of the homes sell for $1.2-1.5 million and we got it in the mid $900k range :)
?? I also got them $15,000 cash at the closing table from the sellers.
They are walking into instant home equity $$$ and were able to purchase a home with a great view, sexy kitchen w/ Subzero fridge like in MTV Cribs, and plenty of space for the fam to enjoy.
Congrats, Lina and Erik on your first home! I have so much appreciation and gratitude for your family. I hope that you two and the boys fill that place with even more love, should be that much easier since you're already moved in!
