In the Spotlight: Kingsun Wins Bid for Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone Smart City Project

Kingsun, a leader in the field of smart city construction and application, has won the bid for the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone Smart City Project. The project includes the intelligent transportation system of Science and Education Avenue, which covers smart street lights, signal lights, electronic police, intelligent pedestrian crossing, license plate recognition, panoramic CCTV, intelligent road studs, pedestrian guidance, public security monitoring, road facility monitoring, and other systems.

One year after winning the bid, Kingsun has successfully deployed the pilot phase of the project, which includes integrated Smart Poles with environmental sensors, intelligent lighting, Wi-Fi hotspot, surveillance cameras, digital signage, and broadcast speakers. Additionally, the Smart Traffic system, consisting of intelligent traffic signage and smart controlling systems, has also been implemented.

Kingsun has an impressive track record in smart city construction and application. In 2017, the company won the bid for the Guiyang Binhe Smart Commercial Landscape Lighting Project. For this project, Kingsun utilized its Smart Landscape Garden Light Solution, integrating intelligent lighting control, video surveillance, Wi-Fi coverage, road information broadcast release, and environmental monitoring functions.

In 2018, Kingsun won the bid for the Nanchang Xinjian City smart city project. The company conducted the overall design and construction of 13 roads in Changying New District, which included 768 poles of three types: low, medium, and high. The poles were integrated with LED lighting, video surveillance, wireless network, one-button calling to the police station, information release, and RFID functions, making it the smart city construction project with the most significant number of intelligent light poles in China.

In May 2019, Kingsun completed the innovative city project in the Yuhua area of Xi'an High-tech Zone. The intelligent lighting projects equipped with LED lighting, environmental monitoring, video surveillance, information release, wireless networking, public broadcasting, emergency calls, hydrological monitoring, utility hole monitoring, parking space management, extensive city management, and reserved 5G micro base stations for future add-on applications.

In December 2019, Kingsun completed an intelligent town in Yucun, Jiangxi, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. The installation of 17 intelligent light poles made it the country's first rural smart light pole +5G application showcase. Kingsun collaborated with Dongguan Cellular Tower to light up 5G in the village water functional area and built a pilot demonstration area for intelligent cities to demonstrate to the center city administration promoted to the whole city districts.

The COVID-19 epidemic has affected consumption, exports, and investments in China. The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a new notice in late March 2020, stating that new infrastructures such as 5G networks, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence would play a vital role in stabilizing China's economic development.
