Lime Trees and tea

Lime Trees and tea

Lime trees were at their best this year. The scent in the surrounding countryside and villages as well as throughout Cambridge has been amazing.

The link below shows you how to make a restorative infusion / tea which we used to be given as children from our French realitve. Tilleul, pronounced Tayol it is a pleasant herbal tea. The blossom can be collected, dried and stored for use all year and can be harvested easily in large quantities.

Give it a go next year.

Lime trees are native to the british isles and one of our hardiest urban trees, capable of pollarding, root interference and creating stately avenues and parkland amenity.
