Joining forces to break gender health barriers
LIH and the Ministère de l'égalité des genres et de la Diversité (MEGA) are delighted to have joined forces for the Gender Inequalities in Health (GHealth) study, signed on February 23. Led by the Socio-Economic & Environmental Health & Health Service (CARES) group at LIH headed up by Maria Ruiz-Castell, this initiative aims to unravel gender-based health disparities using data from the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS).
Unveiling the Metabolic Flexibility of Cancer Cells
In a recent study led by our Department of Cancer Research, scientists have unveiled new insights into how #cancer cells adapt to glucose shortage, shedding light on potential vulnerabilities.
Dr Mohaned Benzarti , scientist within LIH's Cancer Metabolism Group headed up by Johannes Meiser and first author of the publication saw the work published in the prestigious journal #CellReports.
The Plooschter Projet continues to support the LIH
Last month, the Luxembourgish non-profit association Plooschter Projet?renewed its commitment to LIH's Tumour Stroma Interactions (TSI) Research Group, led by Jerome Paggetti & Etienne Moussay supporting their research on leukaemia.
Strategic partnership forges innovation in Luxembourg HealthTech
LIH has partnered with Catalpa Ventures to drive innovation in digital health, aiming to bridge scientific research and venture capital in Luxembourg. The five-year collaboration, signed on February 27 signifies a key milestone for the HealthTech sector in Luxembourg. LIH will work with Catalpa across various activities, particularly focusing on advancing digital health technologies.
