Lights, Ideas, and Action

How many times in your life have you come across someone with a plan, an idea but no actions to back it up? Myles Munroe once said “the richest place in the world isn’t in the middle east where there is oil, or the diamond mines in Africa. The richest place in the world is the cemetery.” Its where all the books that were never written go to die, it’s where the dreams that were never lived lie dormat, it’s where the ideas, songs, and inventions that were never created are buried. People take their best stuff with them to the grave for lack of action. Right now how many ideas have come across your mind throughout your life that you failed to act on? Could the reason be because of Fear?
Fear can be our biggest obstacle and Fear is a very real thing to most people. Fear is designed to keep you safe. It’s your brains mechanism that engages when you are out of your comfort zone. Fear says it’s too risky without offering any real facts, just hypothesis. F.E.A.R is False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear can make you fight, flee, or freeze, it is makes you question your decisions and second guess everything. Fear can be a great thing when you are being chased by a predator or have a bad feeling about someone but when it comes to pursuing something that you know is deep inside you, fear will talk you out of moving in the direction of that dream or goal. Is it impossible to live without fear? The answer is no but you can overcome the major ally of fear which is self doubt.
In order to over come self doubt you have to know that any idea that is giving to you, was giving to you specifically for a reason. Instead of dwelling on the who, what, where, and why, you have to go into action. Make a decision that no matter what, I’m going to do it. If you don’t know how to do it, then do it bad. It’s better to fail at something bad than to never attempt anything, by just sitting and existing until your time is up. I can guarantee you that if you do it bad the first time, then if you attempt it the second time, it will be better because you will have learned not how to do it like the first time. That is how Thomas Edison created the incandescent light bulb. It is said that Edison failed over 1,000 times before he finally created the light bulb. Did Edison fail over a 1,000 times or did he find over 1,000 ways in order to make the incandescent light bulb? Its all Perspective! Go ahead right now and put some action to your light bulb moment, take nothing to the grave with you. Live full and die empty!
