Lights Camera Superstars Fresher’s Party- Episode 1

This is not a weekend performance and this episode which was telecast on 16 Jan 2018 (Tuesday) was basically a Fresher’s party to welcome all the contestants into the academy of [[India’s Next Superstars]]. The contestants will live in this facility till they are not eliminated, and compete with each other for the coveted prize of the winner.

Dhanjani welcomed all the contestants and told everyone that getting a foothold in this industry is very difficult and urged the contestants to learn and absorb as much as possible from the who’s-who of the industry. All the contestants who look ravishing in their evening gowns and dinner jackets were asked to introduce themselves in Bollywood style.

Mehrotra stated that he is from Delhi and states, ‘’Dil ki baat zuban par lane ke liye log waqt laga dete hain, usi waqt mein hum itihass bana dete hain’’ (Nornal people take time just to express their opinions, and people like me make history in that time.) Prakash, the next contestant states that she loves ‘’Lights, Camera and Action’’ and she wants to start and end her life in Bollywood.

Next came Bagri, who stated ‘’Zero se Hero banne aaya hoon’’ (I have come to become a hero from zero) is from Delhi and he is looking forward to leave his mark in the industry. Next came Gandotra, who stated that he does not like to talk about his capabilities, he just wants to mesmerize everyone with his killing look. He is from Jaipur and the rest of the contestants were truly impressed with his introduction.

Taluja, the fifth contestant stated ‘’Dil mein junoon, aankhon mein sapne liye, aaya hoon main yahan, banane ek mukaam apne liye, dilli se hoon, apke dilon mein basna chahta hoon, naam hai mera Karan Taluja, bas ab is naam ki ek pehchan banana chahta hoon.’’ It means that, ‘’I have come from Delhi with a lot of dreams in my eyes and I want to leave a mark in your hearts.’’

Krislinzki looked smoking hot in a scarlet evening gown and introduced herself as a Mumbaikar. She mentioned that she has worked in some South Indian movies and ad films and now has come here to become a superstar. She ended her introduction with the famous dialogue of [[Dabangg]], ‘’Swagat nahin karoge hamara?’’ (Won’t you welcome me?) Dhanjani was quite impressed with her introduction, and helped her come down the stage by lifting her up.

Singh gave a sweet and short introduction stating that her first name Naina has been used in many famous movies of Bollywood, and she would like to remain in the eyes of her audience, just like the meaning of her name. Dhanjani at this point stopped her and made her and Gandotra play a small game ‘’Nain Matakka’’ (‘’Who bats the eyelid first.’’) Singh won the game and the hearts of many in the academy.

Sharma gave her introduction in the DDLJ way ‘’who ladki main deewani si’’ (I am that passionate girl) and talked about her determination of carving her niche in Bollywood. She went on by saying, ‘’Hai mehnat se parhez nahin, shohrat ka utna craze nahin, dilon mein basne ki tamanna meri, isse age mere paas koi phrase nahin.’’ (I am not afraid to work hard and I want to live in the hearts of everyone.)

[[Remo D’Souza]]’s video clip welcomed everyone to the academy and he advised everyone to ‘’work hard and party harder.’’ And then the participants started dancing to the tunes of ‘’abhi to party shuru hui hai.’’ Dhanjani stated after the dance party that the contestants now should get used to these parties as there will be more in the tow- like the launch parties of their films, award functions parties etc.

Then Dhanjani announced the Mr. and Miss Fresher selection criteria. Roses were distributed among the boys and girls and the highest collector of roses will be the winner. All the contestants showed their skills of wooing the opposite sex, and they had loads of fun when they saw some untold love stories forming.

There was a tie among the male contestants:  Vali, Nanda and Alhawat as all of them had received two roses each. Nanda gave balloons to the ladies to win their hearts, Alhawat did push-ups and Vali bribed them with some eatables. Finally with popularity poll from the ladies, Vali was declared as the winner.

Bharadwaj won the Miss Fresher’s award among the ladies as she had the highest number of roses. Then cake cutting completed the party.
