Lights, Camera, Action

This edition of #ArrowVision, we're going to go behind the scenes on the shooting of our new company video.

Arrow has been seen as the major player in the industrial door world for nigh on 5 decades but as with any successful business, diversity and adaption are key to longevity. The business has grown from a localised Yorkshire enterprise into a national company with branches all the way from Scotland down to the south coast. Over the years, we've grown our product portfolio, our service offerings and of course our customer base.

And that means, we've had to adapt to our customer's changing requirements and at the forefront of that change has been our increased levels of customer service.

This last year has seen so much change at #Arrow, and it was decided that we needed to deliver our revised vision in the most relatable and informative way. Having a professionally shot video that delivers our key message, conveys the way we work and how we support our customers, is another step towards delivering the #ArrowVision and this week has been a tour of some of our regional branches, capturing footage from the factories and some really great talking head pieces from our staff.

In a busy business like Arrow's, interruptions are not always welcome, but our teams across every branch we visited, accommodated our crew, endured the often embarrassing moments of talking to the camera and generally made the shoot a much more pleasurable experience.

We did the shoot in a rather unconventional manner by not adhering to a script. We wanted to get genuine responses from our staff and so the camera just rolled and we let them do the talking for us. What came out was a myriad of golden soundbites and a whole heap of unbridled enthusiasm for the business. With customer service sitting front and centre of everyone's mind, it was evident that we have a team of passionate people, dedicated to delivering for their customers.

Venturing behind the curtain to see how some of our products were manufactured was an enlightening experience for this writer. Our world is a tough, rugged one, where products are built to last, not built to look particularly pretty, but the level of craftsmanship and human involvement I witnessed for such a hard-working product line was quite astounding. Our factory staff, like our office teams, had quality service at the forefront of their mind.

Over the next few weeks we'll be editing the footage together to create our final video, one that will ensure our customers gain a full understanding of what we can do, what we can offer and how #Arrow work as well as showcasing some things you may not be fully aware we can offer.

And then we're off to Cannes.
