Is Lightning Striking Twice?

I was looking for some powerful quotes to demonstrate the vital importance of developing deep level communication for the intro to my new course, 'Be Highly Effective'.

Ironically, I came across this quote from Richard Nixon; "The Press is the Enemy'. I say ironically, only because this quote demonstrates the negative affect of the lack of attention of communication skills, whereas, I always seek to use positives.

The ensuing lateral thought process took me to another vitally important aspect of communication - the way we communicate is a window to our innermost identity, beliefs and fears! In Nixon's case, "when the truth comes out, don't believe it, because the source is untrustworthy" is the obvious (now anyway) pitch.

I'll leave you to draw any parallels to a current situation and individual, but it seems to me that it won't be long before another watery gate is opened?
