Be A Lighthouse In The Storm

How can you inspire someone today? A teammate, colleague, patient, customer, prospect, or family member?

First, give some thought as to Why you do what you do every day and share it. Sharing your Why with your knowledge, perspective, and what you've learned can have immense impact on someone who needs to hear it.

Second, be Resilient. Find a way to transform a stressful experience into something that inspires hope. Let others know they're not alone. Show empathy. Increasing your self-awareness and understanding the feelings of another is more powerful than you know.

For your teams, now is a great time to enhance your culture through increased care and collaboration. Finding new ways to engage with others provides new opportunities for personal and professional growth. Take the time now to thank your colleagues and customers more frequently. Yes, technology is great, but so is a simple phone call to say "How are you doing?" (a thought that was intelligently posted by a connection of mine this morning)

Focus on what is urgent and important and do it now; if it isn't urgent nor important, eliminate it. If you haven't implemented a 'daily huddle' with your team, start now. There is nothing more powerful to increase communication, provide direction, and focus on what's ahead.

We need to embrace these 3 things every day: Urgency. Diligence. Patience.
