A24's The Lighthouse, Robert Eggers’ acclaimed grim-n-funny horror tale starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe earned a robust $419,764 in just 8 theatres on its opening weekend. That is a dynamite $52,471 per-theatre average, coming in just below Parasite, The Farewell, and Jojo Rabbit among this year’s top per-theatre averages. It will expand into 560 theatres this Friday. 

Scored by Core composer Mark Korven (The Witch, In the Tall Grass, The Terror: Infamy), The Lighthouse premiered as a Critics' Choice at this year's Cannes Director's Fortnight.
