Lighten the Load: Three Ways to Clear Mental Clutter

Lighten the Load: Three Ways to Clear Mental Clutter

Ever notice how when life feels cluttered, your brain does too? Like you’re carrying around an overstuffed backpack of mental junk?

I’ve been there.

Lately, I’ve been remodeling my business (more on that soon), and part of that process has been clearing out what’s not working and creating more ease. The changes have made a huge difference, so I’m sharing what’s helped me feel lighter.

1. Simplify

I’ve been making some big shifts in my business—getting clearer on what I want to focus on and letting go of what no longer fits. It’s been a process, but each decision has lifted some weight off my shoulders.

2. Organize

For years, my files were everywhere—emails, random folders, notes buried in who-knows-where. Finally, I committed to figuring out how to make Google Drive actually work for me instead of feeling like a black hole. Now I can find what I need in seconds instead of digging through chaos. Game-changer.

3. Have Someone to Talk To

Even though I am a coach and therapist, I still need people to process things with. For the past seven years, I’ve met with the same two coaches every Monday—30 minutes each. We listen, we reflect, we keep each other accountable. It’s been one of the most valuable things I do for my own growth.

So if life is feeling heavy, start small. Pick one thing to simplify. Organize something that’s driving you nuts. And if you don’t have someone to talk things through with—find one. You’ll be amazed at how much lighter you’ll feel.

Tell me—what’s one thing you’re letting go of this week?

Love and Light,

Susan

Absolutely! A cluttered space often mirrors a cluttered mind. Taking time to declutter—even just a little—can bring so much clarity and peace. Love this reminder!?

It's amazing how much simplifying can free you. I love the idea of having a support system—it's essential for growth and in the online world I feel.
