Light Wave Gallery (In the Forest)
Take a walk in the woods. My father and I, when I was a boy, took long walks through the forests of Geauga County, Ohio. The painting above is by my father (Frank Bockhoff).
At home, he loved classical music. Our home was filled with the sounds of Elgar, Delius, Vaughn Williams, Grieg, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, etc. He loved the wild adventurous (yet highly melodic) music of the romantic era.
Today, I wrote a small suite entitled "Light Wave Gallery," and recorded it this past spring, as the warm sun brought out the verdant foliage and wildlife. The beauty of the earth, mixed in with the sacred sounds of Gregorian Chant was a nice artistic mix of musical adventures and continuous prayer.
Art finds a way. Art, in the end, will always find a way and be of service to God and humanity. Keep the faith. Keep the journey.
