I'm pretty certain most people were relatively surprised when they woke up this morning to realise that The Donald had, in fact, successfully secured his place in American history and the keys to the White House.
Now, it would have been easy to write a rant or a lament on the US Election results but - bearing in mind that Scotland Now is part of the Media Scotland portfolio - I decided to take a more humorous approach to the result.
After all, 15,000 Americans are alleged to have voted for Harambe.
So, given that Scotland Now is for ex-pats and Americans interested in Scottish culture, I decided to throw open our doors and invite those disgruntled by Clinton's defeat to come and live here.
We aren't building a wall.
