Is lifestyle a choice?

Of course, it is but sometimes the challenges thrown at you or early life choices mean you have many balls to juggle. I love spending time with my grandchildren, my children, my siblings and their families, my mum and my extended network of friends and work colleagues. Wow, that's a long list! I make time for them all sometimes getting the balance wrong, sometimes right! However, I do have a commitment, along with my daughters who are co-owners, to the clients and staff of the two businesses We Do Social Media Ltd and Click Singles Ltd, so choose to spend time building the businesses by networking and building relationships with potential clients and other businesses, which I thoroughly enjoy.

As you will see from my profile I started life working for the KCC and probably could have built an interesting career there if I had chosen to stay. My lifestyle was pretty easy, no responsibilities at work so I set up a lunchtime exercise class for the staff, organised pitch and putt days with my peers and enjoyed evenings out with friends. However, the private world excited me more so I stepped into it with the enthusiasm of a child in a sweetshop. Swan National Car Rental and TVS were young businesses with driven, exceptional people, so I excitedly faced all of the challenges thrown at me and became a part of the corporate worlds culture. Then at the tender age of 26 I met my husband and we launched our own business which took me on a totally different journey with many more challenges. Setting up home with my husband made me want to change my lifestyle I was keen to stay at home, sew, clean and attempt to cook. Then our children came along and I yearned to be at home with them. Divorce made my wish come true! My children and I went from a detached bungalow with a full-length pool, sitting in nine acres of land to a mid terraced three bedroom home. That was a culture shock and a very sudden change of lifestyle.

So, what next? Now its time to think about retiring so I have set up a third business with a website that launches on 4th July 2019. The new business Mizones is all about offering choices to provide a balanced and enjoyable lifestyle. Another exciting journey to enjoy with all of the contrast starting a new business offers.
