It really took 19 years to understand this. Yes, I am a learner, and here I am with the lessons that life has taught me. Let's call this "The Life's Lessons."
I know many of you may not be interested in long philosophical paragraphs or the musings of a 19-year-old, but let me try my best to make this interesting for you.
I'll use myself as an example. I was always keen on growth ?? and wanted success in every move. To achieve this, I would do anything, never bothering about my surroundings, friends, family, or even myself. Despite being on such a strong and focused path, I still couldn't achieve what I wished for.
What Changed Me?
I admired people and wondered how they had such great talents and characteristics. I wanted to be as successful as them. Then, a spark came from nowhere, urging me not to do my work the usual way. I found myself stuck, wondering if everything was alright. I told myself everything was fine, but later realized things were far from fine ??.
This wasn't very serious, but serious enough to make me talk to myself. Self-analysis completely transformed me. I started working on myself, moving away from the path that society believes to be the right one. I asked myself, why should I want to be the same person I admired? When will I be admired by others? Admiring people is not wrong, but it's important to learn from various sources and do things your own way.
When you start fixing yourself, you'll come to know about everything in and around the world by just getting into yourself. Here are a few things I will be sharing with you in this Article
1. Accept yourself as you are.
2. Fuel your spirit.
3. Day by day improvement.
4. Take rests.
5. Manifestation.
6. Learn from the past.
7. Self-gifting.
Stay tuned for more insights!
1: Accept Yourself As You Are
Accept yourself as you are, both physically and mentally.
You might be tall or short, dark or bright, lean or stout, talkative or quiet.
If you are tall, be happy that you have reached the heights ??.
If you are short, be happy that people bow down to you anytime.
If you are bright like the sun, remember that you should shine for others.
If you are dark as night or chocolate, be proud of how people are fond of you. "Brightness exists because of darkness."
If you are talkative, be proud that you are a living radio where words flow like a stream.
If you are calm and quiet, be happy that you are a good observer, a keen listener, and a silent speaker, like a book ??.
Everything is beautiful the way it is.
Do you wish to see the best person ever? Just look in the mirror. You will find the person who is capable of doing anything and everything.
Let’s address an important fact ??: Remember your no-makeup look? I'm not just talking to the beauty queens, but to you kings as well. Beauty is not about external things like skincare and beauty products; it's about the reflection of your inner peace and state of mind. "Just put off your makeup ?? and beautify your face with your elegant, joyful smile."
Accepting Mentally
If people find your mistakes or spot errors, just accept them. Don’t get angry; show gratitude as they are keen on you and made your work easier by pointing out your wrongs. You might not be wrong sometimes, though you might have been blamed. Answer them with your actions, not your words. As the saying goes, "Actions speak louder than words."
Be true to yourself. Never delve deep into bad thoughts, as they are harmful. Whatever the situation, whoever it may be, just smile and move on.
2: Fuel Your Spirit ??
Life is full of hurdles & barriers. They aren't meant to weaken you but to make you stronger. Think of them as life's test, and guess what? No cheat sheets or malpractices allowed! ?? No teacher will evaluate you; it’s self-evaluation. Your inner self won’t grant marks without proper answers.
On your journey, you'll experience pain & fall down, but practice things that push you ahead. Remember, it's not only you—everyone around you is facing similar challenges. It's all about how you manage to overcome them.
Appreciation is the fuel you may or may not get from others, so make sure to give yourself plenty of it! Look back at your journey; this builds confidence and makes you proud of how you’ve handled tough times leading to your present successful day.
Keep working until you attain your goal. You never know how close you are to the things you truly desire. ??
3: Day by Day Improvement ??
Whether you’ve started working on yourself or plan to soon, remember: don’t burden yourself too much. I don't mean to avoid risks, but rather don't try to build your victory fort overnight.
Start with small tasks and complete them with full focus. The confidence and energy you gain from this are invaluable rewards from your mind.
Think of this confidence as the most expensive fuel ?—no, not the rising petrol prices! ?? After fueling up, your mind will be ready for the next move, just like your vehicle ready for a road trip. ??
Remember, you're consuming your mental fuel every second ?. Along your journey, you’ll need to stop at many fuel stations to refill. Make sure to get your fuel as a reward from your accomplishments.
4: Take Rest ??
Rest is something you should have at regular intervals after continuous hard work. Many believe that taking rest is unnecessary, even a time-consuming waste in our busy schedules. But actually, it helps you emerge with even more potential.
Taking rest doesn't just mean taking a nap. It can include a short walk around, playing outdoors, listening to music, or spending time with your pets. If you do, your mind will thank you. ????
The most important reason to take rest is to spend time with yourself. Rather than dwelling on your work, incomplete tasks, or past conflicts, rest gives a full stop to all those thoughts.
Taking rest is like charging your phone after continuous use. Remember to recharge yourself! ????
So, remember to take rest. ??
5: Manifestation ?
Do you know the answer to these questions?
Why is one man sad and another happy?
Why is one man joyous and prosperous while another is poor and miserable?
Why is one man full of fear and anxiety while another is full of faith and confidence?
The answer lies in the power of your subconscious mind.
Let me make it clear:
The universe is like a shop where everything is available in infinite amounts, free of cost. The shopkeeper, the almighty, provides you with everything you ask for. No need to stand in a queue in the hustle and bustle! ??
"What you wish for, you get."
This might sound strange, but it's a fact. To understand this better, you can read books like The Secret and The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.
At 12 years old, I couldn't grasp philosophical texts and psychological thoughts. The book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind became a great solution for me.
Beyond hard work, concentration, and focus, manifestation plays a vital role in bringing what you wish for into your life.
Manifestation can be a great turning point in your life. The mentioned books can help you harness the power of your subconscious mind. ??
6: Learn from the Past ??
Your past is like a diary, filled with all the events of your life. Just take a moment to turn back the pages. You'll analyze many things, and it's the key that can vanish your problems and lead you to the path of possibilities. ??
We often see people stuck in the past, unwilling to move on from those beautiful moments. But remember, "The world is full of new things where every new day is much better than the previous one."
So, "Don't just stick to pieces of gold; move ahead for the treasure that's waiting for you."
Go through your diary, learn from your past mistakes, and build a perfect future. ?
7: The Act of Gifting Yourself
I want to talk about something important: "The Act of Gifting Yourself." ??
We often receive gifts from others as a token of appreciation or love, but how often do we honor ourselves? Congratulating yourself and showing gratitude towards your own efforts can be a powerful motivator.
Have you ever gifted yourself? Many of us might say no. We usually expect gifts from others, but our minds would be much happier if we gift ourselves. It's not just about materialistic things like a new dress, food, or a trip—though those are nice too. The joy from these is temporary.
Instead, focus on what your mind truly needs. Look in the mirror, admire yourself, and thank your mind and body for all your efforts, whether they're good or bad. You'll see the magic happening. ?
Challenge yourself with new tasks and ask your mind what it really needs. The foremost gift you can give yourself is TIME. When was the last time you sat quietly without distractions or thoughts? Many can't recall such a moment.
Put aside all your worries for a while and give yourself some time. You'll discover that your mind is your best companion. Try it and let me know how it feels!
