For all passionate life long learners in my network ??????
News and Facts?
Nope, no news, just facts.
Facts based on science and facts based on my personal examples.
About lifelong learning, challenges, the ability to innovate and increasing efficiency.
September - what do you associate with this month??
End of the vacation season? Beginning of autumn? Beginning of the new school year?
Having been born and raised in Kazakhstan for the first 14 years of my life, I associate September 1 and September in general with the beginning of the new school year after the long summer break. At that time, a whole three months off every summer. Now I didn't have three months of vacation time, but 'only' three weeks. Nevertheless, after all these years of imprinting, I associate September with the beginning of a new learning phase. But it is also a time to evaluate the situation - where am I, where do I want to go and which systems and small steps do I have to create in order to reach my goal over a longer period of time. Or to put it in words of James Clear, the author of "Atomic Habits" "a system of continuous small improvements" is THE winning recipe, not the goal itself.
Since I not only believe but also want and support that one NEVER stops learning, I constantly have new skills, new methods, new knowledge that I want to master. I am convinced that if you communicate authentically, that you will then always form a community of like-minded people around you. Forget about opposites attracting. ?Birds of a feather flock together‘ is more likely to be the case in the long run. So, it goes probably similarly for you that you also always want to gain new knowledge.?
If you then also select a challenging vision, that's where it gets exciting. Average is boring, challenging and outstanding - that's sooo much more exciting ?????? If the vision is also innovative, then the excitement goes through the roof.
Then, if you're also a busy person similar to me, I'm sure you value efficiency. The most value in the shortest possible time. And not in ideal conditions, but in real life circumstances. So that we understand each other correctly, a personal example. I learned what efficiency REALLY means exactly 5 years ago, when I reduced my full time job at Sika to 70%. In the 30% I completed parallel to work a CAS study in event management in Switzerland, whereby I spent half of the study as a pregnant woman and the other half as a newly baked mom, including writing my diploma thesis etc. And additionally so that I don't get completely 'bored', I still studied for a C2 exam in English in parallel ?? That's my level of efficiency ???

If something helps me to be efficient, I want to share it so it helps others too. So, what do the studies say about learning, brain activity, ability to innovate, and efficiency? What is already known that we all could implement in our lives right away?
Here's a small selection of short presentations on this topic - perhaps perfect for a lunch break or commuting time:

And now after watching, let’s create some actions and continuous small improvements??????There is no magic in plans and strategies, all the magic is in actions - You can do it! ??????

PS: Let’s be fair, I narrowly failed my C2 exam in English in 2018 - the writing part was only a C1 level ?? Well, does it stop me from writing? ??????

2 年exactly! regardless of how efficient we already work, we can always improve. BTW this does not look like a C1-level writing.
Welcome back to "work life", Dr. Ludmilla! Wow, that's quite a message you have brewing for us while you've been away ... thanks for the inspriation. I haven't watched to linked videos yet, but I have no doubt they will have met your high standard of relevance! Your "PS" line was funny - you certainly don't need any exam results to confirm that your English communication is A+!
