Lifelong Cyclist Laura King joins the Paradis Pros team!

We are proud to welcome our newest Paradis Pro to the ambassador program, Laura King. Laura grew up in Seattle, Washington. Growing up, Laura swam competitively, kickstarting a lifelong love of endurance sports. She attended the University of Washington where she joined the triathlon club in order to fuel her competitive spirit. With a personality that seemed to gravitate toward endurance sports, she competed in all distances of triathlon while pursuing her career in sales and marketing in the outdoor industry..?
A move to the birthplace of mountain biking, Marin County, California, shifted her endurance sport passion to all things cycling, especially mountain biking. She was inspired by the cycling community in Marin and later met her husband, professional cyclist Ted King there.?
Through her social media platform and work to expand cycling participation, Laura has used her voice to advocate for the representation of women in the sport of cycling. She has been outspoken about the ability for women to simultaneously have children while continuing to pursue their passions. Throughout her pregnancy, Laura rode over 7,000 miles, proving that pregnancy does not mean an end to what fuels you. She is passionate about highlighting the positives of a life with children and the ability for it to exist in harmony with one’s own endeavors.?
