Joining a new company can be both exciting and challenging. As a RTR (Record to Report) functional analyst, Siao Sue-Qi was welcomed into the world of SAP at delaware on July 2022. As a newcomer to the industry, she was eager to learn more about her role and how she could contribute to the organization.

As a functional analyst, her work involves analyzing and designing the business processes that support RTR in SAP. Her role ensures that financial data is accurately recorded, reported, and analyzed to support business decisions. Doing so, helps to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Prior to that, she worked part-time jobs in-between her studies, but nothing in the field of SAP. Nonetheless, she is very interested to be in this field and she is excited to be learning more about it day after day.

Outside of work, she enjoys discovering food gems throughout the Klang Valley during the weekends with her family and friends. She finds that food always tastes better when shared with loved ones. Additionally, she would describe herself as a more introverted person than what her personality test would normally indicate. Introverts don’t usually start conversations, but she’s always open to chatting with others.

We asked her advice for those looking to enter this industry and this is what she has to say:

“Just go for it! Regardless of your educational background, taking the first step is always the hardest. Only then will you know if this is the right path for you. Don't let fear hold you back from exploring new opportunities “.

One of her memorable moments working with delaware was when the GDC APD 2022 team took a break from the training session and just enjoyed that time with some ice cream. Yes, just plain old Ice Cream! It was a great opportunity to connect with her colleagues and bond over their shared experiences. Working with such a supportive and friendly team has made her transition into this new role much smoother.

In conclusion, joining delaware as an RTR functional analyst has been a great learning experience for her. Despite being fairly new to the industry, she is excited to continue learning and contributing to the organization's success.
