You must have heard about the legendary Tansen.
Who was he?
Tansen was one of the nine jewels in Akbar's court, who had the power to paint pictures, make it rain, bring dusk early during day time, light lamps, and what not.
How? Through his music! His command over the Indian classical music's ragas gave him his eternal status.
This is the power that music holds.
Obviously, we don't have such pure musicians nowadays, but music still continues to make an incredible impact in our lives.
For example, songs like "Ae Mere Vatan Ke logon" or "Teri Mitti" have magical powers to infuse every Indian with patriotism, and make everyone CRY.
Whereas, "Jai ho" will fuel patriotists with such high level of energy that they will literally sing at the top of their lungs, get up and dance!
Same yet a different emotion, and who's responsible? The music. The lyrics.
There is a reason why Indian households would be found listening to soft bhajans like "Hey Ram" in the morning as a token for positivity to start the day,
or people would resort to "Kun Faaya Kun" for a millionth time to calm their nerves down, if they are stressed and dejected, and need validation from the universe that it's going to be okay,
or people would play super crazy Punjabi songs to pump up in the gym!
Music is everywhere. That's why it's important to understand the impact it makes and the power it holds.
Did you know that music is not just used for motivation and energizing, but it also has psychological and healing powers?
Remember Ranbir Kapoor is the movie Sanju, wherein he needed a daily dose of his mom's song "Kar Har Maidan Fateh", to fight his huge battle with drugs. This song has become a monumental emotion for any person out there, who needs any kind of motivation to accomplish absolutely anything in the world, or maybe who needs just a push to get out of the bed in the morning! Are you seeing what I am seeing?

If these reasons were not enough for you, try emotional expression through music.
Lyrics and composition are an amazing way to communicate, and express what's on your mind creatively.
And as the Hindi saying goes, "Jaha na pahuche Ravi, waha pahuche Kavi" i.e. a poet/musician reaches even those darkest and unexplored corners of emotions and expressions, with the help of his creative mind and imagination, where even the mighty sun can't.
Having said all that, I just request you all to include music in your lifestyle. Maybe merge it with your other tasks of the day, or just spend uninterrupted 30 minutes listening to your favorite songs, while lying down on a couch with eyes closed, it's absolutely your call (but then of course you'll have to purchase YouTube premium for "uninterrupted listening" :'D ).
Not just listen to it, but enjoy and feel it too!
You are not doing it just for your entertainment, remember you are doing it for your health too!
Last but not the least,
come to me for an awesome playlist hehe!
Till then, happy listening!
