Life teaches you to accept things you can't change

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
Let go of things you can't change, focus on things you can change.” To change is to accept but you have to be aware of what things you should accept. Accept the idea that you are in control of your progress, your plan and your life until you hit the goals you wanted to achieve. You do that by developing a different perspective of what you cannot change. By realizing that there is an ordering to life, a design that consists of both happiness, and difficulties. Earth is a school, not a vacation resort.
Precisely that is why it is so challenging, and why we must develop the skill of feeling gratitude for the beauty and happiness we experience in this world. But as we mature, we also eventually learn to find gratitude for our challenges. They wake us up and keep us on track. They are the main reason we are here. Sometime people feel nothing but victimization in life. This is because they do not realize their own capability to change their lives via redirecting the power of their own thoughts and beliefs. They have not been taught how powerful their mind is.
Also sometimes there are situations that we really cannot change. Life is made up of both scenarios. If one is aware of their own self authority, and still comes upon a situation beyond their scope to change, then it is necessary to change what you can. What you can change is your response. You can also redefine what you cannot change in a way that is not so impactful to you. This usually is manifest by seeking self knowledge and realizing the truth of your expansiveness beyond what we experience in this world.
Mostly this in all cases is preferable. We are not just these human aspects. We are not bound to definitions in this world. It is how we define the world in relation to our own identities that we build our own prisons. When we learn to extract our sense of identity from definitions in the world, we free ourselves from those prisons.
And there is a far bigger picture to life than the small, fragmented appearances provided day by day. What those appearances mean on a deeper level, and how they truly fit into the bigger picture are overlooked by the short sightedness of human beings. That short sightedness creates judgments. Life is a huge puzzle and all pieces have their place.
Only because something does not meet our expectations, does not mean it does not have a place in the puzzle. If seen from an aerial view, we would understand that. Just as harmonious and discordant notes work together within a symphony, so to do the challenges and joys work together in our lives. They compliment one another in the bigger picture and add depth and scope to our own awareness of reality. They both invoke from us that which increases our self awareness beyond seeming limitations in this world.
Because they serve our process until we mature into perception beyond any possible limitation in this world. We have that potential. We are far beyond what we have been taught that we are. Our real genius has been barely tapped by the vast majority of human beings. Our path is far more significant and vast in scope than the mere living of daily lives as we are told to live them and 'fitting' in, until we draw our last breath here. Everything we experience is significant.
But our greatest challenge is to change our response, and to realize how intricately we participate in the creation of what we experience in this life by how we direct our thoughts. Personal response is something we have all power over. The thoughts in our minds are also something we have personal power over. We can change how we respond to life and how we define difficulties.
However, perhaps the purpose is not to make everything just as who you think you are, thinks you would like it to be every moment of the day. Perhaps the purpose is to test your inner strength, and help you to develop true freedom from requiring life be a certain way in order for you to be happy, and in order for you to be okay. That is true freedom. Maybe you are okay all of the time, but you don't realize that. Actually, that is the truth. Freedom can never materialize by anything the world provides. It flows out from free human souls, awakened humanity. Cheers!
