Life is short, enjoy the REST
On average US women live 80.2 years and men make it to 75.1 years. While this sounds like a long time, really it’s not. This also means 50% don’t make this number of years, which is way to short. Bright side … that means a lot people are living longer. About one in every 5,000 people in the United States is a?centenarian (someone who's 100 or more years old) and about 85% of them are women.
Once we get past the number of years that you are going to be on the planet, there are lots of factors that will impact these years. Many are within our control, many out of our control.?For some people there are “good genes” and for others “bad luck”.
The point of this article is to get past the numbers of years we have to live. The real choice is … are we going to live with purpose and passion? Think about the impact we have on others like family, friends, and community or the people we serve at work or play. ?
It is important to always “be present”. Now get off that phone and spend time with people being engaged in life. While we don’t know how long we have to play in this world; we know you don’t want to regret not being engaged in your own life ... because it is short.
Make some memories today, tomorrow, and every chance that you get, enjoy the journey and remember to take time for REST.
