Life on a "selife- stick" looking within

I think even before selfie came into existence we used to be much more indulged in whatever we did and give it our 100% time and attention since clicking a picture of ourselves wasn't on our mind always and that time very less amount of people were able to click a perfect picture of themselves on their own using the main camera of their phone (I was one of them :P) rest all just kept trying to click a picture of themselves when no-one was by their side to click it for them and thus didn't clicked much of themselves.

But today, when all have front camera enabled phones with them all are just busy clicking themselves,it made everyone to be extra cautious about their looks as they are always ready to click themselves. Prior to now people have time to talk to someone or enjoy the thing/work they doing for fun/anything else let it be eating, partying or anything! But now whatever may one do,one part of their brain is always busy about finding the right moment to click a 'selfie' it have escalated this much that some researches have actually declared it as a 'mental illness' (Google it if you want for doubts).

In such circumstances, the invention of 'selfie-stick' worked as icing-on the cake allowing people to click selfie without much efforts.Introduction of selfie made us think twice about ourselves. It made us that much busy in considering our own looks for the 'perfect selfie' that we even forgot that we have a person sitting beside us,be it a lover, friend or even parents. In short, selfie made us more 'occupied' and busy within ourselves this era of being busy within ourselves was already started by the invention of smart phones, selfie uplifted it to next level and also the era of being 'fake' (catch those people applying hundreds of filters on their photos along with the caption 'natural look/candid shot')

Today we can say Mr.Albert Einstein was right when he predicted : 'The day will come when technology will surpass humans'. Humans have been on a roller-coaster ride when it comes to selfie. People have started expressing self emotions openly which they did only when they where alone and hidden at the mirror. (which is a good thing anyway!) People have started expressing every kind of emotion be it - sad, happy, low, high, weird, excited etc. (even at funeral or accident sites is really too much to tolerate!). Little details of face like pimples, marks, dark circles etc has been clearly visible even though it is not visible from normal human eyes.

Now, what does it say about the people who look at them? “Too many” is a label imposed by someone else, likely someone with “too much” time on their hands. The fact that you counted all the way up to “too many” tells you somebody likes looking at them pictures, huh, if you’re reading it, it’s for you. I think it's like the Queen asking at the mirror, "Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who Is the Fairest of Them All?" in the Snow White story. It says about someone whom the beauty need to be acknowledged.

It is not appropriate to judge someone on the number of selfies one posts. In this modern era, activity on social media has enormous potential. I would encourage people to use more of social media. However, it has its dangers such as people can stalk others online for example using the location data stored in photos. I don’t think taking selfies is good or bad, but taking too many selfies and posting them it on social media for likes says that you are going to lose your mind soon- if likes don’t fit your expectations. It’s like sugar, eating sugar isn’t bad or good but eating too much sugar is bad. Eating small amount is okay. Taking selfies for your own enjoyment is fine, posting a few is okay but posting thousands is not. Cheers!
