Introducing FCH-2996413 - a peripherally restricted HCAD DREADD actuator! ??

This month we were proud to launch FCH-2996413 - a novel DREADD actuator for the first peripherally restricted chemogenetic system!

Unlike other DREADD ligands (e.g. CNO & DCZ), it doesn't cross the BBB so is able to selectively activate the peripherally restricted HCAD Gi-DREADD. This new system opens up new possibilities for studying peripheral systems without adversely affecting the CNS - and has been reported on recently by Hye Jin Kang, Bryan Roth and others.

What would you do with a $500 career grant from Hello Bio?

Since 2021 we've been proudly supporting early career life science researchers with our monthly Early Career Scientist Grant! To date we've gifted almost $25,000 worth of funding to PhDs and postdocs working in life science to help them with conference travel expenses, publishing fees, lab supplies and more. Applying for the $500 grant is quick and easy, and winners are drawn at random from the applications received each month.
