Clinical Trial Updates
Key takeaways from the ASCO 2024 Conference
With the biggest oncology conference having just come to an end, here are Camilla Fedi key points when it comes to clinical trial results that were presented:
1. High Efficacy with Manageable Safety for #CenturyTherapeutics, Inc: CNTX-101 (Phase 1 ELiPSE-1 study) demonstrates a promising safety profile in Relapsed/Refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma patients, with no reported dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) or graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). Early efficacy results are also encouraging.
2. Durable Survival Benefit for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: #KitePharma's Tecartus? offers substantial survival advantages for patients with relapsed/refractory B-ALL. Median overall survival reached a remarkable 25. 6 months, with a 40% survival rate at 4 years from the ZUMA-3 study.
3. Broad Spectrum Activity in B-Cell Malignancies: #BristolMyersSquibb's Blenrep proves effective against various B-cell malignancies. It significantly improves event-free survival compared to standard treatment, particularly in Large B-Cell Lymphoma (29.5 months), with high response rates and a favorable safety profile.
4. Promising Results in Multiple Myeloma: #LegendBiotech's Carvykti? shows significant potential in treating multiple myeloma. Studies like CARTITUDE-2 and CARTITUDE-4 demonstrate high response rates and improved outcomes, especially in high-risk patients.
5. Early Signs of Success in Glioblastoma: #IN8bio's INB-200, a gamma-delta T cell therapy, exhibits promising results in treating glioblastoma. Phase 1 trials revealed impressive efficacy (92% exceeding 7-month progression-free survival) with no serious adverse events.

Data breach at pharma partner Cencora puts sensitive patient information at risk
A cyberattack on U.S. pharmaceutical services provider Cencora in February has compromised sensitive patient information from major pharmaceutical firms including 诺华 , 拜耳 , and GSK. The breach impacted data such as full names, addresses, diagnoses, prescriptions, and medications.
Affected companies, which also include AbbVie , Genentech , Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. , Regeneron , Incyte , Dendreon , Endo , and Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. , reported the incident to the Office of the California Attorney General. Cencora emphasized there is no evidence that the information has been publicly disclosed or misused. Affected patients are being offered two years of free fraud detection and credit monitoring.
Camilla Fedi , our Senior Consultant in Medical Affairs, added: "This breach follows a trend of similar incidents in the pharmaceutical industry, including a ransomware attack on Eisai and a data exposure at 阿斯利康 . Recent high-profile breaches, like the Change Healthcare cyberattack, have highlighted the growing issue of data security in healthcare."
