Life is Ruthless and still a Wonderland ... Deal with it or Conquer it ..

'I did everything right but ...', 'Why me ...', 'It's too complex, didn't sign up for it...', 'I thought I understood him /her...', 'How and When did this go wrong ...'. Each one of us have experienced thoughts like this and it's normal. However, our thoughts become more intrigued, when we feel no one had any empathy or compassion in that situation for us. When we feel, rather than acknowledgement, there are questions, we feel "Life is Ruthless". Important aspect is when such a situation arises, typically it's not just one event, but it's a series of cumulative situations which appear to be much larger than what they are or they have occurred at a prolonged timespan which makes us assume that our efforts are just not yielding results continuously.
In those moments, 'Amagdyla Hijack' could be dangerous for self and others. Careful observation will reveal that, immediate, sudden and overwhelming reactions lead to the next ruthless situation and it's a viscous swirl which encapsulates us.
Assuming that our logic and emotions only will be adequate to recover, could be too much to ask for. In my experience the magic happens; one, with acknowledgement that yes it's a situation we are in, for whatever reason it could be and second, only I can deal with it. That moment sparks a positivity when our mind knows that fighting positively and putting our best self forward is the only option 'We Have'. And more beautifully 'I Have'. Our innerself starts telling us, it's tough but it's real, I will deal with it. Acknowledging, that the situation has risen as a consequence of something I would have done knowingly or unknowingly in the past and if nothing else, merely acknowledging that it's Karma which has circled back but still 'I own it' and I will deal with it, creates magic.
In my experience, once we transit through this, we enter a zone where we feel we don't have to just deal with it but we can conquer it. With this, multiple avenues open up; we start seeing possibilities, hope, faith; and coming across people inside and outside our networks who can help us to move forward.
The biggest power comes from our purpose which directs our life; purpose which evangelises our ability to create the solutions even in toughest times; that is the point when we become self directed and have faith in ourself. This sense of passing the hurdles, creates a deep sense of satisfaction, gratification and a belief that in future we will thrive.
In this journey, we evolve from 'Amagdyla Hijack', to 'Deal the Situation', to 'Conquer it' and then in our own conscious or sub conscious, our ruthless situations rediscover our wonderland which is beautiful and gives us hope and belief for a new life.

4 年Yes, we all go through the fight or flight syndrome, now and then. Amagdyla Hijack is a natural functioning of human brain which always attempts to protect us from perceived dangers. It is up to us individual's to consciously increase our locus of Amagdyla Switch control. Remember, howsoever calm one is, 100% control is unachievable. Example: if a monk opens his eyes and finds a tiger in front of him, the Amagdyla Hijack will surely happen. All what we common people can aspire for is to have the wisest possible radius of this control switch. Nice message through your blog. Thank you for sharing.

Good one, Sonal Jain,Chartered MCIPD . The little I know of on this topic is that we create the world around us with our language and the conversations in our heads.? Access to transformation and altering our experience of life lies in altering this language.??

5 年True Sonal , most people have experienced these situations. I connect strongly to the moments of acknowledgement you have mentioned . One a slightly different track , One of the biggest strengths of MS Dhoni is his ability to read the game and identify the situation he / team is in , this what sets him apart ! There’s one more aspect I reflect upon - people around you play an important role in your difficult times . There are a few who give you a hand or a shoulder while a few who encourage you to go the “ I can “ way .This too needs a moment of acknowledgement , it’s easy to go with the type 1 folks but they actually makes you weak . These are my few cents , loved your article fully , keep sharing more !
Very well articulated Sonal Jain,Chartered MCIPD. Reflects so many relatable experiences. Inspiring ??
