Life in Rotating Vectors

Life in Rotating Vectors

I recently learned a fun fact about Fourier series that, using a series of rotating vectors, we can draw anything we desire. No matter how complex the shape, it can be broken down into a sum of simple circular motions, each contributing to the final figure.

This idea isn’t just mathematically fascinating; it also speaks volumes about life. Every effort we make, every skill we develop, every lesson we learn is like adding a new rotating vector to our journey. At first, our life’s path might seem rough and unstructured, just as an early approximation of a Fourier series struggles to capture a shape. But with time, as we keep adding vectors through our experiences and actions, the picture becomes clearer and more refined.

The beauty of this analogy is that no single vector alone defines the final picture—just as no single success or failure defines us. It is the sum of all our actions, continuously evolving, that ultimately shapes the masterpiece of our life.
