Life Reminders for Road Runners! Drive with Intention
Sometimes I'm moving at such a pace that pausing for gas seems to be an inconvenience! All of our engines need to be gassed up!

Life Reminders for Road Runners! Drive with Intention

It's drive o'clock somewhere and I hope you're not reading this on the road.

I’m using this pic of my hott husband whose such a gentleman (he knows I’m the, “when it’s on E, I actually have about 20 more miles” type and filled me up before we went our respective ways) to remind you to drive safe on the roads.

In the last few weeks alone, I have seen 3 cars FLIPPED ON THEIR HEADS from accidents and other cars involved completely totaled. I’ve seen ambulances and I’ve seen stretchers.

1 around the corner from my home, 1 around the corner from my job, 1 on the highway.

I don’t believe anything in the universe is accidental and I take these as signs. I have too much to live for to throw away my life, body and peace to scroll and watch y’all... or send a non-immediate, non urgent text.

Below are some Life Reminders I created for the Road Runners (like me :-) ).

1. Slow Down. If you are rushing, you’re creating frenzy for your internal systems and it will be exerted onto your external ones. Internal system includes the mind, heart rate and body temperature. External ones include the energy transmitted from your body and overall state of being to your car and relativity to others.

2. Recognize that not only your life but your sense of well being and peace is more important than a deadline or time constraint. To put more emphasis on the latter is to give it power over the former. No person, no group, no job should have that power. If necessary, inform someone of when you may be arriving to the meeting, event, or location before you take off. These same people would feel horrible that you risked it ALL to please them- but worse, some would shake their head at you for your "actions" and wouldn't have much compassion.

3. On Departure: Take a deep breath before you back out. Remember what matters most to you and what you love most about yourself or your life when you step into that car. Could it be that others whose lives your vehicle could impact care about some of the same things?

Press PLAY on music or a podcast that uplifts or motivates you and puts you in the best mood or frame of mind! You DO have 1 minute to decide on something before you hit the gas pedal- and make it count.

4. On Arrival: What are 2 or 3 things you’re grateful for before you exit the car? For yet another day and another drive, you’ve arrived safely, and in tact with none of your limbs or finances or loved ones in disarray from your journey.

You are #AliveOnPurpose. You are #driving with #intentionality and you are going places.

Pat yourself on the back! Don’t take it for granted! We will all make a last drive one day without knowing it- and damnit, it should be a positive one where we had some reflection, joy and contentment for the endless miles we’ve traveled along the way!
