Life is a reality to be experienced

Life is a reality to be experienced

“Money doesn’t buy happiness!” goes the old adage. Well, indeed, of course it doesn’t - but it does buy the kind of environment optimised to the pursuit of happiness; comfortable, easier environment in which happiness can be better sought. I thought about the primary reasons I’m not “happy” right now…Money is really tight, exacerbated by debts which never seem to go down because I only have enough money for minimum repayments.

I’m working so much I don’t have a lot of “me time” or time to practice my hobbies. Writing on social media is one of the few “luxuries” I can still fit in. This lack of personal time is making me stressed and is affecting my mental health. All these things are relatively petty, but they would be solved or largely mitigated with the simple presence of more money. Debts gone, more free time, nicer house in a nicer area, new car. With those burdens lifted, it would be easier to find happiness - right now, I’m turning down things which could contribute to my happiness because I can’t afford them or I don’t have any time to pursue them.

Obviously, if you’re a miserable person then you’ll still be one even if you’re rolling in money… but I think most people who are “unhappy” are basically good, well-rounded individuals who are finding life’s many conflicting concerns difficult to balance. With obvious exceptions, people generally know how to be fulfilled - but the realities of life often obstruct them. Money removes the obstructions. As we experience life we run across things that we, as humans, have defined as problems - some must be solved for us to live others can be ignored. In my mind, it is more about how much energy do you, as an individual, focus on the problems vs how much energy do you focus on experiencing life - even while solving problems.

It is true that everyone has problems and it is also true that every problem has a solution. If this is the reality of life, then why not focus on solutions rather than problems? Not all problems have known solutions, see Wikipedia's list of unsolved problems. But if you know the solution, then is it anything but a problem of implementation or practice ? Problem solving is a skill. Breaking a problem down, is usually a first step.

We humans are complex beings in a very complex universe; so there are no simple answers to such a simple question. One could say both and be close; but a better response would be to explain more about our very complex universe and also about our complex selves. This is an Information universe where there may actually be no matter particles as such, but does have some Energy which comes first and is In-formed to act the way we think matter would act.

Information comes first, then two kinds of Energy; one in fields and one behaving like we thought matter particles would behave. We were given Minds, by the universe, which are Information processors and, with learning and training, our Minds can In-Form some Energy into doing our bidding. Only a few humans have done that really well; but a large component of humanity is getting close to doing it very well indeed.

The first step in our growth is to find the courage needed to step out of a Fear-based, anti-life modes and then start our own, personal journey towards Becoming Love Personified (or Becoming Love Incarnate if you prefer that wording. When we evolve enough to become Unconditionally Loving, we can be coached (or learn ourselves) how to grow our Sixth-Sense abilities and become a master of taking some control of ourselves in this lifetime (although we will have many bodies and many lifetimes to evolve well-enough).

Certainly life, for most of us, presents problems every day. They vary in severity from trivial to earth-shattering but we learn to deal with them and, in learning, we become stronger, more confident, and more capable. Or, we are overwhelmed and need help and rescue. Either way, it is certainly true that what we survive makes us stronger. It is also important not to learn the wrong lessons from bad experiences and end up carrying grudges and needing revenge.

Is Life itself a “Problem”. I can only say that it isn’t for me. But each person needs to decide this for themselves. If you decide that it is, then it certainly is, for you. Is it just something to be experienced? It’s axiomatically true that if you choose to live it, you will have no choice other than to experience it. Is that why we are born? Very unlikely. Conclusions: Life is an experience for living organisms and that experience includes encountering and dealing with problems. Cheers!
