Life is programmed and God is the programmer
Success and failure is not an accident. Whether you like it or not. We live in a programmed world, and YAHWEH is the programmer. Gen 8:22 says “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” Imagine the statement made by God himself, because he's the programmer who programmed the world. But there are some circumstances where there is changes, then can we question or challenge God? NO , because he knows concerning the changes and without him, no one dare to change unless approved by him.
During the days of Joshua after the death of Moses. The order of the earth change when Joshua was in a battle;
On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon. So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.” Joshua 10:12-13
Scientifically or Geographically, let's say that the earth stop to revolve at that time. This shows us that the programmed world can be adjusted by the programmer who made it. Another example example is case of Sarah and Abraham. Even Job. The list goes on.
When life hit you, turn to God, he's the only source who can tackle our problem. He make us and what we meet on this earth. The only way we be successful and live a life of purpose is by living by his instructions. Here is the word of Messiah
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. John 6:63.
The best way to know God is by reading his word as well as application. When we lack the word(spirit), we loose the purpose of God in our life.
There is a word commonly use among people, but I think programmer will understand better. The world is IF. This word is a conditional statement. When a programmer write programs and include an if statement it means that some certain effect can only take place if the condition(s) is/are true. Whatever the options and choices you make, the programmer already know the end result. Same applies to God. Life is full of choices. whatever decision we make, God is knows the ends.
Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46:10(NLT)
To further explain this, let me write a simple program.

Bible explanation of program above: Success is a function that accept an argument which can be diligent or lazy. The argument is the effort you put into your work/business. Initially result is nothing. The if condition checks the input if it's diligent, result is stand before rulers. If the condition not meant then result is stand before mean men.
The world of God that better explain the program is
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Prov 22:29
