Life philosophy from Alone Australia

Life philosophy from Alone Australia

The winner attempted to be in harmony with the environment.

The runner up attempted to conquer the environment.?

I didn’t realise this until I was being coached on my website. My website felt SO heavy,?difficult, impossible and like the worst chore.?

I was trying to force, conquer, tick off, strive, power through, over complicate, over?analyse, prioritise doing over feelings, beat, win, succeed etc.?

And what sort of energy is that going to send to potential clients? EWWWWW!

So we talked about what I want people to feel when they see my website.

I want it to give a sense of safety, peace, calm, spaciousness, the ability to breathe again, reassurance, approachability, feel good, optimism, hope and possibility.?

Is hard heavy energy going to get that result??

I decided to throw the manual for the program we both signed up to out of the window for now. It seemed too sales-y and not who I wanted to be. I can always come back to it.

It felt like old school management to me - do as you are told, do it perfectly, don't be vulernable and don't share. Be professional at all times. Lead with fear.

If you don't do what I say your life will be terrible.?

Oh goodness, no, I want the exact opposite.?

It’s just not how we are anymore. We have evolved.?

And what about the rest of my business and life?

I cannot tell you how much everything in the universe is sending me this same message right now.

All the podcasts I am listening to are suddenly about living with the energy you want, focusing on feelings, simplifying or even letting go a little bit - not holding on so tightly.?

I am noticing when I stress out about clients and if this business is ever going to work, nothing happens.

And the days I remember that if I keep doing the work without the sense of desperation, but a sense of inevitability that it will work itself out, suddenly a couple of people book appointments.?

From out of nowhere I got a sense of coaching as a gift, a place for people to come and slow down, breathe, have space to think about themselves and what they want in life. A space they can contemplate things that matter to them,?and maybe sometimes that might be harmony versus conquering.?

Instead of an icky sense of telling people there is something wrong with them and they need me to fix it, it’s a message of you are not broken and you do not need fixing for my new website.?

Instead of more shouting at you in a noisy world that coaching is ‘in one month I can help you make $10,000 or lose 10kg or reach a goal’ or some other idea of forcing and conquering to prove?something, I want to be the quiet space asking you what you want and then shutting up and?listening. Listening with the intention of ensuring you feel deeply heard and understood and accepted.?

This is what I want for MY world. And you know what, maybe that’s not a recipe for success. The beauty is that if it doesn't work I can change it. But to finally start playing in a way that feels good to me, instead of trying to conquer like the experts say, feels like harmony for me. It feels right.?

Is this the shift starting to happen in the world? Instead of targets and money and ‘you must be successful by society's standards’ are we finally heading into a more gentle place of accepting ourselves and living and loving life on our terms.

So I think my work, or maybe even our work, is to start thinking about how things make us feel. Are we in harmony with the things as they are, or are we trying to fight and change them. Can we do it, life, in a way that feels so much better to who we are.?

Hmmmm I wonder if I can take this sense of harmony instead of conquering?into getting out of bed in the morning????!!!!!!
