What's going on in L&P in Ireland?

Last month, I ran a LinkedIn poll targeting Financial Advisors, asking what their top priority would be when considering a job move. Interestingly, "high base salary" and "existing clients or new business leads" each secured 38% of the votes, while "lucrative commission structure" only garnered 8%.

This insight is particularly valuable for Hiring Managers and aligns with many conversations I’ve had with candidates. For junior to mid-level Financial Advisors, the challenge often lies in not having an established client base or a large enough network to solely rely on for new business. They also prefer to focus on advising clients, rather than spending time chasing appointments or leads.

This highlights the importance of offering solid support and lead generation to attract top talent in the industry!

Life & Disability Claims Assessor | Co. Donegal (hybrid) | Negotiable

Experienced individual sought to join a newly created Claims team, operating within the Irish Market across; Life Insurance, Income Protection, Disability, Bill Pay and other areas of insurance.

The business is based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal and can offer hybrid working with as little as 2 days per month in office.

• This position will give the successful candidate the opportunity to grow the claims capability and develop the team as it continues to grow ??

My client is a Financial Services Brokerage operating across Pensions, Protection, Investments & Mortgages. This is a newly created role in line with the companies growth plans into 2025 and beyond.

Key Details:

• This position is for a well-experienced Financial Advisor with prior Brokerage/Intermediary experience, who ideally has an existing client-bank or natural network and isn't solely reliant on the Employer for leads ??
• Supportive Management Team and strong Administration Team ??
• Employer is open to discussion around remuneration/commission structure for the right individual ??
• Essential qualification: QFA ??
• Desirable qualification: RPA and/or CFP ??
• Proven success in a similar role within the Life & Pensions industry is essential ??
