"Life moves pretty fast." Ferris Bueller $2 billion CO highway projects sent to new President
Governor Hickenlooper submitted 2 billion dollars of highway improvements to the Trump Administration. Apparently, CDOT isn't accustomed to moving this fast.
In the last 10 days, I've attended an inordinate number of meetings and receptions with the focus on the year ahead. With one expectation, everyone is taking a wait and see approach about the new administration. The one guy who isn't is Colorado Representative Paul Lundeen from Monument. I've met Lundeen twice and he seems like a decent guy, but we don't know each other. Last Thursday, before this story got traction, Lundeen told me about a letter he sent to the Governor requesting expedited approval and federal funding to improve 1-25 South through his district. He is the ONLY person I've encountered who is resposding fast enough to the changing political environment in ways that benefit the State of Colorado. Props to Rep. Paul Lundeen for being out front on this one. #Lundeenrocks
