Life is Messy

Life is really messy and uncertain. We do not very often like to acknowledge quite how much we do not have control of. Plan. Put it in spreadsheets. Make a graph. There, you see - it's all certain again now, isn't it? Except, it's not.
Bloody pandemics. They were in the strategic plan somewhere at the back. Weren't they? Or did we take that section out?
Bloody impending recessions. Have we left that bit in?
This is not a time for false smiles and senseless optimism. This is going to be rocky and there are some important skills within all of us that we need to draw on so as to thrive. Strengths. All of us - individuals, groups, organisations, communities - we all have them. Now is the time to sharply focus on what they are and how to use them. Compassion - for yourself and others; this is going to be tough, we are all mere flawed humans and will make mistakes in response to an unknown situation. Mindfulness - guys, this is going to be emotional! You need to recognise how you are feeling and use it appropriately.
Let me know if you want any further information on any aspect of this. I've done the research and I can help.
