Life and Live. Which is yours?

02 Aug 2018. Today is the cremation of a long term friend and a brother. Mix of emotions as he is one of the first to go in this group of friends with friendship of more then 2 decades.

Our friendship has been a roller coaster of ups and downs but always still full of more fond memories. Having helped many families and friends in my own profession and yet helpless when this happen now. About this, it is not the glory and riches when one leaves but the fond memories that sits in us. We no longer remember the countless stupid arguments we had and his lament about his bad experiences. Now we can no longer tease him and see his angry look. We can no longer hear his rebuttal and drunken roars when he is drinking to his hearts content.

He looked so still and peaceful behind that glass last night. So unusual. And i know, it will always be now.

Just that difference of that breath of life. Often , we asked ourselves what do we want to achieve for ourselves and family. Now that even if he want to, there is no time now.

If we can turn back the clock, what will we have done differently?

How will we have treated some differently ?

Will I leave the world and my family without regrets ?

Ironically, my conclusion for my brother is that he has lived and drink his life to his fullest. Rest In Peace my friend and brother. YNWA.

After all, I know this will not be the first and surely not the last.
