Life on line - make it work for you - WED 3rd March >> it's Wednesday.

Whether we like it or not .. life online is here to stay. So much of our work is caught up with video meetings and chats, opinion seeking and meetings. We need to engage with so many people. We would love to do it in person .. but that's not always possible. So the next best thing, right now is the [sometimes] reliable on-line platform. I expected everyone to embrace it and when it comes to professional reputation; I expected so many senior executives to CARE, ok care even more?? But alas ... that's not what happened.

Companies worry about their branding, their public image, their reputation and yet, no-one seems to be bothered with bad video, insufficient lighting and static driven connectivity - not to mention horrific backdrops. So, why does this bother me much and how can I help?

This will be our focus on Wednesday March 3rd - be sure to register for free. So many people are beginning to talk about the phenomenon of Zoom Fatigue .. and they do their best to come up with facts to support this. Recent studies from Harvard and Stanford are excusing this behaviour. But please help me understand why we allow executives in a professional setting, to look and sound anything less than their best???????? We have all been in difficult situations before and in different circumstances .. [well, sort of] So we can do better and get used to it; we can refine it and do our best to take advantage.

Life gets tough .. ah ha .. the challenges and the opportunities. This pandemic taught many of us that we are naturals [sort of??] in front of the camera and suddenly, everyone has their own YouTube channel. Some are happy pitching a cable channel ?? and then many others are just content on Clubhouse without video, without scrutiny and no recordings. Others find the whole concept horrific. Whatever camp you aspire to; let me make it easier for you.
