Life; Just an Excel Sheet?

The Mindset

We tend to justify our actions, ways of doing things, and life decisions to make them rational. Since when are we capable of being rational?

Years ago, I was told that:

If you want to change something,

(then) you will find a way

If you don't want to change something,

(then) you will find an excuse

Now, besides using this Quote to assess my team on their capacity to apply "continues improvement" (KaiZen) into their workflow. It is time to dig a bit deeper and adjust that mindset to suit society and life circumstances

• If we apply excellent leadership skills, then we create memorable teams
• If we build more sustainable habits, then we support a greener planet
• If we improve our work efficiency, then we can increase our output
• If we work more efficient, then we have more time for other things

Lets Change our way of thinking

How about manipulating our formula; instead of "If we - then" into "Let us" without explanation? That will result in:

• Let us be responsible leaders
• Let us look after our health
• Let us live sustainably
• Let us be efficient

and so on...

We have to learn to be ourselves without validation. Let us live our values without proposition. Instead of wasting time explaining ourselves, we could focus on being ourselves - the path to integrity.

Facebook started the trend, and now it is the foundation of each and every Social Media platform. Ethics and morals are suppressed by the flow of Oxytocin in our system for likes and comments to our statements. We know that the feeling that Oxytocin gives us is highly mentally addictive. This got us an entire generation of mentally unstable users who want to change the world on the basis of constant withdrawal of attention. We are talking about highly functional addicted influencers.

The desired outcome

To copy Simon Sinek and other inspirational minds in our own words is a great way to increase the reach of their message. Often the content is not entirely interpreted due to a lack of life exposure. Knowledge is power, they say, but its application also needs experience.

Knowing how to do a Basque Cheesecake doesn't mean you can do a Basque Cheesecake...
