Life (isn't life) without ChatGPT
Earlier today, I had an interview with Ari Popper , CEO and Founder of SciFutures, where we touched on a range of topics around AI's impact on individuals, organizations, and society. In preparation for the interview, I had spent the previous evening workshopping ideas with ChatGPT.
I don't use ChatGPT. I work with ChatGPT. And I love it.
Where It All Began
Rewind to last February, ChatGPT was just a buzz word to me. And who was this Sam Altman guy? Like so many people, I was cluelessly curious about the tsunami that we know as AI and how we would create a relationship with it.
It wasn't long before I started playing with ChatGPT and even started paying $20 a month in order to have access to as much as possible. I didn't know what I didn't know, but I still wanted to try to know.
Like any new relationship, I kept my asks of ChatGPT very basic, not knowing what was possible or reasonable.
Using ChatGPT required a new combination of mental muscles, which is why it was awkward to start off. With each new chat, regardless of whether information was perfectly right or wrong, ChatGPT beckoned me to continue the conversation. That meant I was encouraged to keep using my mind in new ways.

Over the last 12 months, I started to pay attention to AI influencers and what they were doing. Part of the process of exercising my new AI muscles was to look to those who were ahead and blazing trails. People like Rachel Woods Paul Baier Conor Grennan Ruben Hassid Amanda Bickerstaff Jason Gulya . What has been absolutely and uniquely thrilling about our AI journeys is that we are ALL learning as we go. The world has witnessed each of these leaders blossom right before our eyes.
What I Love About ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a keeper. It fills a space in my life that no human or tech tool can (so far).
I can safely say that in the last 12 months, I have taken more ideas to newer heights than I could have ever done on my own. ChatGPT has been a wonderful thought partner, momentum-booster, idea-amplifier, planning genius, tireless assistant, unconditional support, and champion of Grace.
How has ChatGPT (or Bard or Claude or whatever you use) changed you?
It's great to have "someone" to bounce ideas off of 3am in the morning. ??
