I like to think of myself more as an adviser or risk manager to help families like yourself make informed decisions. This is truly at the heart of what I do. Having spent nearly 3 decades protecting and serving Families, I continue do the same today. This is why I am reaching out to you, helping protect you and your family.
Wouldn’t you agree putting safeguards in place to protect your family is prudent? God forbid should something tragic happens today? We may think tomorrow is promised but it is definitely not! Some of us today will not be here tomorrow. Today a parent may not come home to her family, to her husband, to her little born baby. An innocent student or teenager is lost in an automobile accident as a result of some careless person texting while driving. Some crazed active shooter kills and maims dozens. You visit your doctor to learn you have a rare and aggressive cancer. What do you do? Well, for protecting yourself and those who you care most about, it’s probably a little too late.
You might be among those who already have insurance through work or employment. That’s great; keep it, but know that you are not the owner. Your policy is most likely a group insurance policy which pays at most about 60 percent. Now there are exceptions like the SGLI/VGLI for active duty servicemembers and Veterans which pays full but the policy is nonetheless a group policy. The focus of this message is not geared toward our Armed Forces. They are in class by themselves generally speaking. There are too many variables to cover but generally this is the case with group life insurance policies. These type of policies could present a concern if you are fired or leave your employment. The short answer is, get your own life policy in addition to what you already have. There was a man who had a group life policy through his employment and could not work because of an illness he developed. He lost his job and because of an illness, he could not get a life policy underwritten to provide for his family. Unfortunately, that person died in 2018 leaving his family torn to financial asunder. I share this story with the hopes of conveying that although rare, it could happen. If you have an individual life policy, again, I applaud you. You very well may have enough coverage for your specific needs and circumstance. Having some coverage is 1000 times better than NO coverage. My questions to you and emphasis are, will the death benefit be enough to cover your debt and maintain your family's lifestyle. Was there a systematic methodology used to help determine your needs? Just be sure is all that I am saying. If you are young and healthy, and I hope you are, many go with this false sense of security leaving themselves unprotected. And finally, there are those who can self-insure, who have the financial wherewithal to cover their needs. Those who meet this criterion are less than 1 percent of all of us. It is my wish that all of us can be in this position. If you are like me and many others who need life insurance to help protect our families, and do not have life insurance for you or your family, email me today at [email protected] to learn more.
When customers were ask, is protecting their families important to them, almost all agreed. And almost all believed that putting safeguards in place is important. Yet, the percentage of people without life insurance is at an alarming high. I get it! Times are tough but imagine how much tougher life becomes within life insurance. Think of it this way. “Life insurance is the only bill that pays all other bills” (Melvin, P). I venture to say you feel the same way. The problem is with some who believe life protection is strictly for the deceased. I and many others disagree. Life protection is ALL about the living. Why? Simply put, the financial burden of debt from mortgages, student loans, vehicles loans and other debt are left for the living to bare. Would you want to cause more pain for your family than they would otherwise experience? Thousands of dollars of debt to bare versus leveraging your hard-earn dollars into life protection to protect those you say you love the most. Less than a cell phone plan, a dinner for two, a case of beer, or a carton of cigarettes, could give you a peace of mind.
