Where does a tester spend their time on? Through this post, I would like to share typical life as tester looks like.

No matter how much expertise your developers have and QA team spend time for quality. There will be always bugs but it’s our responsibility to deal with them.

Software testers should have specific skills in order to perform the daily tasks of finding and reporting bugs. After fixed, they need to re-visit these bugs to verify that these bugs are fixed.

Testers have challenging works like maintaining documents, deal with a not reproducible bug, communication with clients etc. Sometimes needs to clarify the bug, to add more information to the help developers understand the bug batter so that get fixed thoroughly.

Most days of a software tester start with reading emails and project updates. Mails are about to daily work, clients approvals, and daily status report. Tester has to take care of QA timeline, Test Planning, execute priority wise test case, maintain scripts as well as documents, device fragmentation, resource handling, reviewing process etc.

If a tester is a hardcore then definitely having his homework like Be updated with market trend, Blog writing, Learning new tools, Provides testing solutions to others, Be in fame, Learn new concepts and implementation, Keep in touch with the testing community etc.

As a software tester, no day is the same and you will face new challenges every day. These are the basic and most important activities that you often spend your time on. A day in the life of test will become much more meaningful if you do your best job around these activities.
