Life is hard... If you know a charity that needs a hand then keep reading :)

Life is hard sometimes. I'm not talking about money, yes money is important to how we live and provide for the people we love but money is like a river and that river should flow. Sometimes it runs deep, sometimes the waters are shallow but as long as the rivers flow then opportunities will always arise and the fluctuations are often blessed in both the ups and downs.

I'm talking about things that can affect people dramatically and instantaneously. Illness, loss or circumstances that can throw someone's life and their families lives, into turmoil.

We all have our reasons for doing things, motivation to use our talents and actions for the good of others so I don't feel it necessary to share mine. Suffice to say that recently it has been shown to me how life can throw things at a person that turns their world upside down. How these sudden events can quickly make you prioritise and how amazing the human spirit is when combined with faith and focus along with support from friends, family, or a dedicated organisation.

My journey has been a rollercoaster as I'm sure most of yours have, and I have been blessed to be able to put my talents to use in order to make a living.

But I need to do more.

So what next? Easy, do what I am good at to help.

After chairing and volunteering with a small charity for over 7 years I am fully aware of the many challenges that these organisations with a low turnover face. I am also equally aware of the amazing things that they accomplish, precisely because they are small and able to operate differently to the larger charities with more formal processes and procedures. I am also aware of how beneficial having a story that people can see is to an organisation struggling for funding and donations.

This is why I would like to now offer my film making services at cost to any small to medium charity that has a turnover below the £1,000,000 threshold. No equipment, time or production fees. Just the boundless enthusiasm, knowledge, skills, commitment and goodwill of someone who may be able to make a difference to your fundraising, awareness and engagement in the future.

Unfortunately there is a restriction on the amount of these videos I can produce alongside my workload so the number of projects will be limited, however I will endeavour to do what I can for each genuine enquiry.

If you would like to discuss a potential project you can email me at:

Please feel free to share this post in the event that one of your colleagues and their organisation may benefit :)

Hi Paul, I'm a trustee for Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary, a small private charity not open to the public in Ascot with about 36 rescued primates, mostly from circus, labs and pet trade. If it sounds along the right lines I'll drop you an email?
