Life hacks for survival in the cyber world

Our lives are becoming increasingly intertwined with the digital world that surrounds us. From our smartphones to our surveillance systems, it is hard not to rely on technology in some way or another

But with all these advancements comes the real threat of cyber security breaches and cyberattacks, which can have devastating consequences. Fortunately, some simple life hacks can help us to stay safe and secure online

? Log out

Most people do not realize how important it is to log out of their accounts after completing their work. Cybercrime is rising every second, and hackers are becoming more sophisticated in their methods. If you are not logging out of your accounts, you are leaving the door open to attacks

When you log out of an account, you are essentially cutting off any access that a hacker might have to that account. By remaining logged in, you are allowing hackers to access your personal information and account data. Worse yet, if you have financial information stored in your account, then even God can’t help you. In short, log out.

? Minimizing the causes of vulnerabilities

There is no single silver bullet for cybersecurity. Cybercriminals frequently exploit known vulnerabilities in software that are not updated. So, patch up your software updates!

Another vital step is to use strong passwords and never reuse passwords across different accounts. Try enabling two-factor authentication whenever possible as an extra layer of protection. Finally, be careful about the links and attachments you open in emails

? Email security?

Email security is one of the most important things concerning your online presence. With so much personal and sensitive information in our emails, we must take steps to protect them from prying eyes

One of the best ways to secure your email is to enable two-factor authentication. It gives a secondary code (usually delivered via text message) to log in addition to your password, making it difficult for anyone to hack into your account

The internet is a place for good and evil. One of the most common risks is cybercrime, which can take many forms, like malware, phishing attacks, and identity thefts. Another risk prevalent today is online harassment, which can include trolling, doxing, and threats of violence. This behavior is often motivated by hate or a desire to harm someone and can have critical consequences for its victims

The rule of survival is the same in the real and the digital world. Take precautions when interacting with strangers and keep an open eye. Report any suspicious behavior to your security team

This year let's pledge to be cautious and safe!?
